About Me:

My name is Venus McGee Ramirez and Education is my passion. I graduated from high school with the intention of becoming an English professor. I had an amazing teacher, my junior and senior year, by the name of Sam Noel. It was then that I discovered my love for literature. Most importantly he inspired me to want to become that person that students can depend on. While on the path to achieving my goal, I became a mother to two amazing children. They have become my inspiration and the reason my current major is Early Childhood Education. Through the motherhood process I have learned so much and I feel blessed and honored to have the experience I have. It is my opinion that children have just as much to teach us as we do to teach them. I am a firm believer that our children are our future and they most definitely need the guidance of their community as much as their family.  I do my absolute best to model the behavior I find most appropriate for my children. I also respect the diversity of my future students and their families. As an educator I would describe myself as empathetic, enthusiastic, and creative.
